A citizen has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking a ban on TikTok application.The Petitioner has stated that ten people have died in the country due to the use of TikTok application . He further added that this app is spreading pornography for rating and fame on social media.
The applicant further added that the recent incident in which a girl was gang raped by her TikToker friends. He also stated that this app is banned in Bangladesh and Malaysia because it is spreading inappropriate material on social media and making fun of people.
As, TikTok is very popular application in many countries in the world including Pakistan. However, there have been tragic incidents as a result of this app. It is worth mentioning that PTA has banned PUBG few days before due to similar incidents in Pakistan.
