Frosted chilling days of winter, glacial and glared mountains, neither human nor any other creature has been seen there. Frozen air blowing there needed a strengthened body and a bold spirit to climb at the peak of K2.
They had been zealous and enthusiastic to have their dream achieved. They fortunately and successfully did. But unfortunately while returning were lost.
Lost in the echoing mountains covered with snow. They were all alone, daring. Dare to make up the name of their country, dare to keep up the flag of their country and hoist it patriotically, dare to cheer up their dream while making a world record of climbing at the highest peak of the world’s second-largest mountain K2 without oxygen at -50 degree centigrade and they even dare to embrace death calmly and quietly.
Their bodies might be covered with snow under an iceberg. They might have fallen from the incalculable and unmeasurable height in an abysmal glacial mountain. And now after more than a week search and rescue operation has been closed because of unfavorable weather. Muhammad Ali Sadpara of Pakistan, John Snorri of Iceland, and Jain Pablo of Chile all three mountaineers are declared dead. Hard and high time for their families and also the respective country of each of the three mountaineers.
We the Pakistanis are grieved and sorrowed for their accidental demise. We salute them and their dignified record and our nation’s hero MUHAMMAD ALI SADPARA. BY MOUNTAINS! COME BACK. You and your memories will live in our hearts forever!
