Latest News about Board Exams 2021 in Pakistan | IPEMC Meeting Today
Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood chaired today’s IPEMC meeting to review the COVID-19 situation and make a final decision about the reopening of 9th to 12th classes and conduct of SSC, HSSC exams. All education ministers of all provinces and the other 2 federal units i.e. AJK and GB were present in the meeting.
The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) has made important decisions regarding the educational activities across Pakistan.
In NEWS press conference, Shafqat Mahmood has announced the following important decision
All board exams are postponed till July 10, 2021
9th and 10th Exams Subjects
Matric Students will take exams of elective subjects along with mathematics only.
11th and 12th Exams Subjects
Intermediate Students will take Exams of elective subjects only.
What are elective subjects?
It means that Students of Science will take exam of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics & Mathematics only;
Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics are electives for Matric (SSC) students.
Similarly, ARTS students will take the exam of their elective subjects and mathematics only.
Chemistry, Bio & Physics are elective for FSC pre-medical students
Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics are electives for FSC pre-engineering students.
- Another feasibility of proper Gap between 2 consecutive papers is given to students.
- Exam Dates are postponed till July 10, 2021
- Subjects are reduced for exams; only elective subjects included in papers

- Datasheet delayed the proper gap between 2 consecutive papers, which will be a great relief for students to make preparation these days
- Shafqat Mahmood said that it was not an easy decision to close the institutes due to health crises, but it was necessary to make such decisions at that time.
- All exams are postponed till July 10. 10th & 12th classes’ exams will be taken on priority whenever scheduled.

- Last week of June, keeping this in view, all boards scheduled datasheets for the exams from the 23rd June 2021 but in today’s development, all exams declared canceled till Jul 10.
- He further said that last year, students were promoted without exams but now grades will not be given without exams. He said that exams under the supervision of External examiners are the source of satisfaction for students. Internal assessments of institutions are not usually acceptable for students and parents as well. Biasing is possible in internal assessment.
- Furthermore, board exams are common and equal for all students and will not raise objections because it a proper system.
- Furthermore, Students have the habit to prepare in the last few months, so exams are necessary from this point of view, it will help in decreasing the learning losses.
