Education Minister Punjab, Murad Rass announced the re-opening of all public and private schools in Punjab from June 7. The Education Minister reiterated this during the inauguration of a separate vaccination center for teachers and other school staff.
1st dedicated Vaccination Center has been inaugurated in Government Pilot Higher Secondary School, Wahdat Road, Lahore.
Such type of vaccination centers will also be set up all over Punjab. The government is trying to vaccinate the maximum number of teaching and non-teaching staff of educational institutions before opening the schools on 07 June 2021.
Federal Government has already issued a notification about the vaccination of teachers before 05 June 2021 across the whole country.
Keep In view the opening of all educational institutions on June 7, this proactive step of vaccination is taken to continue the academic activities and physical classes for students. Punjab Education Minister was accompanied by the Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid. Four counters have been set up at the vaccination center where about 1,500 teachers will be vaccinated daily. At present in Lahore, about 16,000 teachers and about 4,000 staff are on duty in schools.
Instructions have been issued to teachers to bring their CNIC card and job certificate along with them when visiting the vaccination center. Furthermore; teachers will be given priority if they visit any other vaccination center while having both of these documents.
Repeated closure of educational institutions is not a solution, so teachers, realizing the importance of this, should vaccinate as soon as possible.
