Schools are going to close in different cities where the situation of covid-19 is worst.
Today 10 March 2021, the Educational Minister of Pakistan, Shafqat Mehmood along with other ministers reviewed the corona situation and gave a new policy for the country and education system.
A meeting was again held in National Command & Operation Center (NCOC) to review the situation of Covid-19 across the country.
Shafqat Mehmood clearly instructed that already scheduled exams will be conducted on time but strictly following SOPs.

He also said that our team will continue reviewing the decisions depending on the situation.
Under today’s discussion following points have been mentioned by Shafqat Mehmood & Dr. Faisal.
- Commercial activities previously had limited till 10:00 p.m. which will be reinforced again
- Amusement parks will be closed till 6:00 p.m. in the entire country. If any province wants to close earlier so the government is allowed to do it.
- There will be no withdrawal from the policy of indoor weddings and restaurants and cinemas everything will remain the same for the next two weeks
- Outdoor activities policy will remain the same with a limit of 300 people.
- Reviewing on this policy will be done on 12 April 2021
These are minimum requirements of any province that wants to indoors strict policies they can.
For an educational policy for school opening educational minister by keeping eye on the current situation says
As the situation is under control in Sindh and Balochistan, so schools with 50% of attendance will remain open.
However, schools in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Sialkot will be closed for 2 weeks (from 15 march till 28 March)
Exams of matriculation and intermediate will be taken on the scheduled timings and those educational institutions which are about to take exam shall continue with examination
