Latest Scholarship for the intermediate & undergraduate degree programs in Pakistan
Imran Khan today on Thursday 15 April 2021 launched the scholarship for intermediate & undergraduate degree programs in Pakistan.
Khan announced the scholarship worth 27.9 billion Pakistani Rupees which will cover more than three hundred and fifty thousand scholarships in the 5 years plan.
More than Seventy thousand scholarships in 129 public universities will be provided with the annual grant of 5.5 billion rupees for the year 2021.
50% quota reserved for female students under the Rehmatul Lil Alameen scholarship.
2% quota reserved for special students under the Rehmatul Lil Alameen scholarship.
Gilgit Baltistan & AJK are also included in the scholarship.
Deserving students from low-income families will get the opportunity of higher education through the Rehmatul Lil Alameen scholarship. It is the huge funding set for the education sector in Pakistan.
Imran Khan said that the purpose of this scholarship is to
- Assist the talented students in getting access to higher education
- Provide equal opportunities for education in the light of the teachings of Islam
Imran Khan said that it will be a remarkable scholarship, the first of its kind in the history of Pakistan. It will be the source of great success for the deserving & talented students.
The scholarship will be provided on two different levels
- For intermediate level, based on the result of the metric examination
- For undergraduate degree program, based on the result of intermediate examination.
It is part of PTI’s Government policy for education reforms in the country. Khan said that we will remove the barrier of lack of resources in getting higher education.
Punjab & KPK will separately provide the scholarships to their students.KP chief minister appreciated the effort of PM & he said that we support the initiative of the federal government to strengthen the education sector.
