The inauguration ceremony was held on Friday 12th March 2021 in Sohawa. PM emphasized the need for education for bringing real positive change in society and the system. It is part of the vision of Imran Khan to bring a culture of innovation and technological advancement to the country.
Khan focused on the environment of academic research and its role in solving the problems of the community. He further said that Al-Qadir University will work on the pattern of Al-Azhar University Egypt. The university will be the center of Islamic & Social Research as well. He frequently mentions the true spirit of Islam, its teaching & the state of Madina as the perfect example and role model. We should not get motivated by the western culture; we really need to build our own culture by following the teaching of Islam with true spirit.
Two years back, PM Imran Khan laid the foundation stone of the university and now the campus is successfully built as part of his vision. The university is named after the name of great saint Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani.
Khan in his many lectures reiterated the term Science & spirituality and forming the university based on this concept. So that Muslims understand & contribute towards Islam & science at the same time, similar to early Muslim scientists as they are considered the founder of the science. They were a true follower of Islam and researchers in science as well
The university will provide a world-class education to the students. The focus will be on the character-building of the students along with research-oriented culture rather than rote-based education. He showed keen interest to attract brilliant students through different scholarship programs to the university. The brilliant and deserving student will complete their education through financial assistance and after that will contribute positively to the community and country through their knowledge and skills.
Imran khan inaugurated the university and then planted a sapling in the Al-Qadir University.
