NCOC meeting held on 19 May 2021
National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to reopen all educational institutes where Corona’s positivity rate is less than 5%.
Asad Umer chaired the meeting, which was also attended by Dr. Faisal Sultan Special Assistant to PM Islamabad, chief secretaries of all provinces, AJK, GB & Islamabad.
It is decided in the meeting that
- All educational institutes will be reopened from May 24 2021 in the districts where Corona positivity rate is less than 5%.
- In the remaining districts, educational institutes will also be reopened as well from June 7 but step by step by reviewing the situation of the pandemic.
- No student of 9th class will be promoted without an exam
- 10th and 2nd-year exams will be held first and then 9th and 11th classes’.
Metric & Intermediate Exams
- Both of the exams will be held after 20th June 2021 while other exams will be scheduled will be decided
- Based on each case. Ministry of Education will further decide about these special exams later on based on need.
Other Sectors which are going to reopen from 24 May are
- Outdoor restaurant
- Tourism sector
- Walking and Jogging tracks in parks

Outdoor marriage functions are allowed from June 1 with a maximum capacity of 150.
