Finally, all federal units are on one page to resume the educational activities and conduct board annual exams as soon as possible.
The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) was held today in Islamabad.
The committee has decided to hold the annual examinations of class 10th and 2nd year after the 3rd week of June 2021
Federal Education Minister Dr. Shafqat Mehmood has chaired the meeting before the conference.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training has made it clear that no student will be promoted without taking the exam.
Summer Vacation will be shorted from the normal annual routine because schools already remained closed for months due to COVID-19.
Provinces will decide the number of days for summer vacations and how much to limit the vacations.
Dr. Murad Raas Education minister Punjab, Saeed Ghani, Provincial Minister for education and literacy Sindh, Shehram Tarakai, Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were also present at the meeting.
COVID’s Latest situation was reviewed to make a further decision in today’s meeting.
Furthermore, vaccination of teaching staff is advised on a priority basis by the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC) Islamabad so that educational activities must resume and continue normally. No staff will perform invigilation duties in the exams without vaccination.
These decisions are made to recover and reduce the academic loss of the students as soon as possible.
