According to a statement issued by PEMRA, the license of 24 news is suspended for violating the law. The company continued to broadcast program illegally despite numerous notices.
Value TV was using the name as 24 News illegally. As Value TV holds a license for displaying the content about entertainment. However, it was continuously and unlawfully broadcasting news by violating PEMRA rules and regulations.
On the other hand 24 News channel considered this suspension against the freedom of press.
